In a little over a week I will be rejoining the Africa Mercy in Togo West Africa. It is a hospital ship run by the organization Mercy Ships and is the largest non governmental hospital ship. Last year the ship was docked in Benin, West Africa and I was able to volunteer there for 10 weeks. It was a life changing experience and I'm excited to go back.
Of course as I sit here we are waiting for the giant blizzard to hit in a few hours. It seems like I'll be sleeping here at work for the next few days and then on Tuesday morning it is time for Jury duty. All of a sudden the countdown went from a few months to a few weeks to a few days and the pile of stuff on the floor of my bedroom is screaming to be organized and packed. I'm going to try and actually put pictures on the blog this time and maybe even write in it once in awhile. Thanks to everyone for going on this journey with me. The official date for leaving is February 15 and I'll be on the ship the night of the 16th.
